Women v cancer - cycle Vietnam to Cambodia

From 6 February 2017, I will be getting on my bike and taking positive action in the fight against breast, ovarian and cervical cancers.

I will be part of an amazing group of women tackling the 6th Woman V Cancer challenge. As part of a women–only cycle team I will cycle around 450 kms over 6 days, both on and off-road through Vietnam to Cambodia, away from the tourist trails and hotspots.

The training has been hard and I faced the extra challenge that after I signed up for the challenge, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, a life-long auto-immune condition that causes pain, swelling and stiffness in the joints.

So besides training hard I needed to raise a minimum of £3,200 by November 2016 to support the work of the Women V Cancer charities (please see links on the right). I am delighted to let you know that I have so far donated £5,000 to the 3 charities but my Just Giving link will be open until March 2017!

Once I am in South East Asia, I will hopefully be able to update you on my daily progress via my blog Lisa Cycles Vietnam to Cambodia.
