Moon Down is a unique wedding venue situated on the Kent/E Sussex border, close to Tunbridge Wells and Wadhurst in South East England. This romantic rural setting offers you the chance to curate your dream day, your way. Set amidst 150 acres of beautiful woodlands and scenic countryside, the site lends itself to festival-style parties and formal marquee receptions alike.

Couples can think of Moon Down as a blank canvas onto which they can project their unique vision. Here, amidst tall trees and fields, you can choose to host a micro wedding or a large-scale soirée for a maximum of 250 people. From forest blessing ceremonies to garden wedding breakfasts, this is a versatile venue that can be transformed to reflect your wishes. The event space suits every style and theme, from rustic yurts and tipis to elegant marquees. There is ample parking on-site and water and power are easily accessible at this location.

Moon Down is ideal for prospective newlyweds planning a DIY wedding. You can choose your preferred suppliers for every aspect of your day, from catering and beverages to design and entertainment. This flat field site has a access point for suppliers and food trucks.  Moon Down can recommend  local suppliers for provision of toilets, catering and other services.  Moon Down is only available for weekend weddings from May to September.  

Due to circumstances beyond our control, 2026 will be the last year we will be offering Moon Down as a wedding venue.

From 1 January 2027 Moon Down will no longer be available as a wedding venue.
